The 2014 "hopes and dreams" of youth in Albuquerque will be on display for the first time this year.
Under the instruction of professional celebrity photographer Ms. Linda Solomon, youth captured their hopes and dreams through a series of photographs which will be on display at the Pictures of Hope Art Reception on Wednesday, November 5th from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
This art gallery style event will have live music and appetizers as well as a meet and greet with the young artists.
Ms. Solomon taught the children photography skills at New Day Youth & Family Services earlier this fall when she brought her nationally acclaimed program “Pictures of Hope” to Albuquerque. Albuquerque is one of only four cities selected in this 14-city program to have earned this distinction. Ms. Cori Galles, vice president, Galles Chevrolet and Ms. Solomon surprised each child with a high-end professional digital camera which was generously donated by Walgreens.
Their assignments as young photojournalists to capture their “hopes and dreams” are now beautifully featured on “Pictures of Hope” greeting cards which will be available at the reception.
