On November 16, the members of the Albuquerque Ruff Ryders will come together at the St. Felix Pantry in Rio Rancho located at 4020 Barbara Loop SE from 10am through 1:00pm to collect turkeys. The turkeys will be distributed to many families who come to St. Felix Pantry for food. "Hunger has become a year-round issue all over the place, Rio Rancho is no exception," says Rev. Jack Bunting, President and CEO of St. Felix Pantry, adding that this event will help to make a difference in the lives of hundreds of local families and individuals who "know the dire effects of hunger all too well."
This turkey drive is being organized and supported by the Albuquerque Ruff Ryders. It is our hope that more than 259 turkeys will be collected,” says Wilson Blackbird, Coordinator of the event.” He adds, "We want to make sure that everybody can enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. This is a time we give thanks for what we have, and we want to bless people who do not have and share that with them." All turkeys collected will be distributed to St. Felix Pantry clients who cannot afford to purchase one.
St. Felix Pantry accepts food at its location on 4020 Barbara Loop SE Tuesday through Saturday from 6am until 12 noon.
