Make a Difference Day 2015 has ended, but not before 37 projects were submitted by nonprofits and over 800 of our neighbors signed up to volunteer and proudly wear their MDD shirts!
From collection drives for food items to cleaning up elementary school grounds - and everything in between, this Make a Difference Day 2015 was once again a success!
With the generosity of the Make a Difference Day sponsors – Gap, Inc,, Sandia National Labs, Molina Healthcare, Houston Wholesale, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Wells Fargo, Corporate Volunteer Council, Bank of Albuquerque, General Mills, USEagle FCU, Sandia Labs FCU, and ABQ Volunteers – it was possible for the MDD Committee to donate over $12,000 to nonprofits helping the most vulnerable in our community.
If you were part of this annual event, surely you are enjoying the benefits you gained by helping others in the greater Albuquerque area, and basking in the personal rewards that volunteering provides. Thank you for your participation!
