Project Description:

Our project for this year will focus on helping the Pajarito Mesa community. For all of you who are not informed about this community; it is a community located in the southwest area of the Bernalillo county that lacks many basic necessary services like water, electricity, phone lines, gas lines, roads, shade etc. Our goal is to get as much help to make this community better on this day. LPI is planning to build a shade at the bus stop this community has to give shelter in the winter and summer. We are gathering donated supplies for this shade as well as food and any other resourceful materials this community can have. We are looking for volunteers that can help build this shade and help carry out the activities we are going to have for the residents of this community; the cookout, nutrition education and food give-out, and music managing. Please feel free to contact La Plazita for any further information.
