Educate New Mexico is an independent, non-profit organization established by volunteers to promote and finance excellent educational opportunities for students from low-income families. Our purpose is to assist low-income families with children entering grades K-12 offset the cost of tuition at the school of their choice through a program of tuition assistance. All funding is from private business and charitable and individual contributions.
Position Description:
The board of directors has the basic responsibility for overseeing and advising on the organization’s fund-raising activities. Its main duties are to:
1. Set policies, priorities, and goals for fund-raising programs for the current fiscal year.
2. Identify and rate all major prospects for support.
3. Recruit key volunteer leadership and solicitors for the organization’s fund-raising campaigns.
Expectations:
1. Attend at least 4 meetings per year.
2. Be willing to participate in fundraising.
3. Make ENM one of your top 3 giving priorities.
