Children's Grief Center of New Mexico
Agency Description:
The Children's Grief Center (CGC) offers free support groups for bereaved children, the only such program in central New Mexico. CGC offers families a safe place to grieve, heal, cope and rebuild their lives after a death. All services are provided at no charge to grieving families and without any state or federal funding.
Position Description:
Members of the Board of Directors shall contribute their time, talent and treasure to advance the mission of the Children’s Grief Center of New Mexico and provide leadership in the solicitation of support from the community at large.
Expectations:
- Fully understand and support the mission of the Children’s Grief Center. - Use personal and professional contacts to promote CGC and help raise funds. - Assist in recruiting volunteers. - Make the Children’s Grief Center one of your top 3 annual philanthropic commitments. - Attend 10 board meetings per year and commit to a three year term.
