Agency Description:
Pegasus Legal Services for Children provides civil legal services to children, youth, and their caregivers, including direct representation, community legal education, and systemic advocacy. Our mission is to promote support and defend the rights of children to safe and stable homes, quality education and health care, and a voice in decisions that affect their lives.
Position Description:
Board members are responsible for ensuring that the mission of Pegasus is carried out, maintaining responsibility for the financial health of the agency, contributing their time and expertise for Pegasus activities, maintaining professional and ethical standards, enhancing the public image of Pegasus, and recruiting other volunteer leaders.
Expectations:
Board members serve a two year term, for no more than three consecutive terms, on a Board of eight (8) to twelve (12) members; attend monthly board meeting; serve on Board committees; participate in fundraising activities; advocate for the agency in the community; and make a meaningful financial contribution to the agency.
