Project PeacePal is a non-profit program founded in 2007. It is an international peace through education organization which connects middle and high school age students in the US with students around the world as pen pals. By participating in PeacePal activities in classrooms, students throughout the world learn about life in far-away places and new solutions for creating a more peaceful world.
Position Description:
Board members are needed to provide the necessary oversight of Project PeacePal and to assure Project PeacePal is accountable for overall financial stability. We are looking for
Expectations:
The board member(s) shall regularly attend board meetings and other important related meetings; make serious commitment to participate actively in committee work; and participate in fund raising for the organization. Overall time commitment would be approximately four hours per month. The board members are expected to provide both expertise and financial assistance.
