Agency Description:
The mission of the Senior Citizens’ Law Office is to provide quality civil legal services to residents of central New Mexico over sixty years of age in order to uphold their rights, maximize their autonomy and to ensure that they receive the benefits to which they are entitled.
Position Description:
• Know SCLO's mission, goals, policies, programs, strengths and needs.
• Come to board meetings well-prepared and well-informed about issues on the agenda.
• Contribute to meetings by expressing your point of view.
• Consider other points of view, make constructive suggestions and help the Board make decisions that benefit the client community.
Expectations:
During their tenure on the Board, members are expected to consider their service to the organization to be a high-priority civic commitment.
Attend at least three of the annual five Board meetings and any special events sponsored by the organization(one of two per year).
Adhere to the Board's Conflict of Interest Policy.
