Agency Description:
Best Buddies New Mexico's Board of Advisors seeks to establish a local volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
Position Description:
The Board of Advisors collaborates with staff and committees to create an a community environment that is inclusive for people with IDD. This includes development and execution of a fundraising plan, growth plan and strategic alliances to achieve the mission.
Expectations:
Board Members are expected to attend monthly meetings (First Monday each month at 4PM); work on at least one committee; attend at least three chapter events during the year; financially support our annual gala through sale or purchase of 1 table; assist in the development of strategic alliances that further the mission; and complete a two year commitment.
