People Living Through Cancer provides emotional support services and educational workshops for cancer survivors, co-survivors, friends, family members and the healthcare professionals that care for them.
Position Description:
Board of Directors plays a critical role in the organization’s success, reputation and long-term sustainability. PLTC seeks motivated and dedicated Board members who will serve as knowledgeable ambassadors of our mission. Board membership is a working body of members making informed decisions and providing support to advance that mission. Commitment to this concept is as desirable as is a commitment to attendance and meaningful productivity.
Expectations:
PLTC Board members are expected to have the willingness and capacity to advocate and support the programs and activities of PLTC within their sphere of influence. Serve on at least one committee and participate regularly in the organization’s activities. Attend and participate in annual retreat.
Support and attend PLTC’s major events; the People’s Caring Awards, and the Survivorship Conference.
Accept PLTC as a major philanthropic endeavor and participate in fund development.
