Agency Description:
A policy, advocacy, outreach non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring all New Mexicans have opportunity for optimum health via improved nutrition and increased physical activity. Current policy agenda includes Complete Streets (built environment), Joint Use Agreements (schools), and Daycare/Childcare Regulations; we also support Farm to School initiatives.
Once monthly board/steering/Council meetings; volunteers for and completes assignments thoroughly and on time; informed about committee matters, prepares for meetings; gets to know other committee members and builds a collegial working relationship; participant in evaluation and strategic planning; participates in fund raising and other duties as assigned for the organization.
Position Description:
Member of Board; assists director in managing organization finances; develops, in conjunction with director, and presents annual budget to the Board for approval; presents financial update with support from director at Board and Steering Committee meetings; ensures director development and Board review of financial policies and procedures.
