Principle Accompanist

Part-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Principal Accompanist is responsible for providing choral accompaniment on the piano/keyboard for all rehearsals for the chorus. The Principal Accompanist is expected to accompany the chorus for its concerts and recordings, including any special concerts or events for which the chorus needs an accompanist.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Accompanying all rehearsals for the chorus
Accompanying all concerts for the chorus
Accompanying some soloists and small groups for rehearsals and concerts
Assisting in the production of rehearsal tracks
Meet with a representative from the NMWC Board periodically

Other Information/Requirements: 

Job Qualifications/Requirements

A high level of piano expertise with a strong emphasis on rhythmic stability.
The ability to read open score and follow the director
Ability to sight read
Availability for regularly scheduled rehearsals
Flexibility to be available for additional rehearsals as needed
Experience as a choral accompanist is highly desirable
