Prevention Education Coordinator

Full-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Coordinates and oversees the implementation of prevention education curriculums within schools, community and other spaces
Collaboratively supports and develops youth led projects and activities with youth council.
Plans, implements and reflects upon monthly youth council meetings and monthly events. This often requires collaboration with families, guest speakers, and partner organizations.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Coordinates and supervises project facilitators, youth facilitators and contractors while implementing projects which includes organizing and developing cohort schedules for each cohort
Supervises, delegate tasks, and maintains timely communications with the project facilitators, supporting contractor(s) and volunteers within the coordinator's project area
Support cohorts by serving as curriculum facilitator and observer as needed.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Experience working with Native American communities, cultural sensitivity to the needs and distinct tribal and cultural ways of life and willingness to complete cultural competency training
Experience working with youth, child/youth development experience and sexual education training or background are highly desirable
