Accounting Position - Pooled Trust Program Director

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Pooled Trust Program Director provides the management and distribution of the Trust Assets. Primary functions are to oversee the Master Trust(s) held by The Arc New Mexico including discretionary authority; assisting clients with financial support to safeguard the individual’s assets to maintain benefits to improve quality of life, while conforming to regulations and compliance functions required by law. Lead community outreach on needs of individuals with disabilities.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Manage pooled trust fund distributions and maintains trusts files. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial, estate, and income tax planning concepts. Invest and manage trust property following the terms of the trust and state law, in the beneficiary’s best interests. Meet compliance, account administration and customer service requirements of all Trust(s) in light of law, regulation, policies, and governing agreement. Keep up with SSI and Medicaid income and resource rules.

Education Level/ Years of Related Work Experience:

Minimum: Bachelor’s degree required with minimum of 3 years trust operations experience.

Preferred: Legal and financial experience.
