Legal Advocate– (ABQ & SFE – Full-time). Do you have a passion to help others? Would you like to be part of a team that shares that passion and seeks to honor human dignity in all work they do? Come join our CC team in New Mexico where you will have the opportunity to serve the immigrant community in Central New Mexico and statewide. We currently have opportunities in our Albuquerque and Santa Fe offices.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Duties to include community involvement, clerical support, and translations. This position offers opportunities for growth and advancement, including a unique focus on working towards being an Accredited Representative with the Dept. of Justice (a position which allows trained employees to directly represent clients in immigration cases). Preference will be given to those candidates with prior legal experience and to people with a background in social work or survivor based work.

Other Information/Requirements: 

BA's degree in paralegal studies, social services, psychology, or a related field; or 4 years of experience in a victim assistance program, legal for case management fields; or a satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience. 2 years of min. experience working with under-served populations and a valid driver's license. Have the ability to comprehend and analyze legal information, and including statutes. Proficient in MS Office Suite and database navigation; and bilingual in English/Spanish.
