Grants Finance Officer

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

This position will report to the Chief Financial Officer and the Sr. Director of Finance and Human Resources and must also work in closely with the Director of Grant Compliance to serve as the organizational expert on grant payroll allocations. Additionally, this position will serve as critical support for the Accounting Department on Federal grant financial administration, bookkeeping, and audit preparation.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Create, update, and maintain a confidential master payroll allocations spreadsheet for every pay period.
Federal Grant Revenue Support
Bookkeeping and Audit Support

Other Information/Requirements: 

• Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution in accounting or related field.
• Five years of experience in financial accounting in a nonprofit environment.
• Five years of experience in Federal grant management in a nonprofit or institutional entity; and experience in foundation and/or corporate grants management preferred.
• Knowledge of fund accounting principles and practices with experience in all facets of the accounting process.
• Candidates are required to pass a criminal background check.
