Main Areas of Responsibility:

We are looking for physicians who can provide comprehensive healthcare and who are passionate about working with marginalized communities. Seeking Extensive experience with acute care and care for chronic medical conditions, a range of office-based procedures, and working with patients dealing with addictions.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Understand the social and structural determinants of health and barriers to care (such as UNMCare or cost of ambulance), develop and implement ease in talking with patients about their cost of care, and provide trauma-informed and harm reduction values and practices in care of patients. Interest in working with queer and transgender populations is a plus. Growth opportunities include medical directorship, quality improvement, clinical care and community development.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Physicians should have Spanish proficiency as many of our patients are monolingual Spanish speaking; required to walk, sit, type and stand for extended periods of time; operate standard and medical equipment, and effectively communicate. Requires vision correctable to 20/20 and hearing in the range for face-to-face and telephone contacts.
