Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

At Casa de Salud we deliver healthcare that is rooted in dignity, trust, creativity, cultural humility, and mutual respect. We are seeking the services of an experienced family nurse practitioner or physician assistant, part-time (at least 24 hours a week or more) or full time.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Understand the social and structural determinants of health and barriers to care (such as UNMCare or cost of ambulance), develop and implement ease in talking with patients about their cost of care, and provide trauma-informed and harm reduction values and practices in care of patients. Interest in working with queer and transgender populations is a plus. Growth opportunities include medical directorship, quality improvement, clinical care and community development.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Physicians should have Spanish proficiency as many of our patients are monolingual Spanish speaking; required to walk, sit, type and stand for extended periods of time; and operate standard office and medical equipment
Requires vision correctable to 20/20 and hearing in the range for face-to-face and telephone contacts.
