Main Areas of Responsibility:
Food & Seed Sovereignty (FSS) Coordinator has primary responsibility and oversight for the coordination and implementation of the FSS projects in the Environment Justice. Projects include the Espanola Healing Foods Oasis, Espanola Seed Library, the care and curation of TWU's seed bank and planting projects, and the representation of Tewa Women United in the New Mexico Food and Seed Sovereignty Coalition.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
* Assists the EJ Program Manager and EJ Program Assistant in designing and implementing intentional program development for the FSS project, including building community network/reputation, developing seed/produce distribution practices, acquiring necessary tools, and creating learning materials and resources.
* Coordinates FSS workshops, training, and events as directed (i.e., gardening workshops, seed restocking events, volunteer days, harvesting and processing demonstrations, and cooking demos)
Salary Range:
40 hours/week for $22/hour
