Main Areas of Responsibility:
The ideal candidate for this position will have experience working with Elementary-aged children. They will also be drawn to leading games, creating and facilitating art projects, and other enjoyable after-school activities. For all teachers, first and foremost, we are looking for someone with a centered, healthy, and focused attitude who understands that they work in concert with families and colleagues as well as students.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
The EDT must possess or be open to acquiring knowledge of the Montessori philosophy, child development, classroom management and positive discipline. The school assists in this, but each staff member is responsible for working to understand and expand their knowledge and apply new skills and understanding to daily interactions.
