Domestic Violence Counselor

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Domestic Violence Counselor provides a range of psychological assessment, diagnostic, therapeutic, and/or case management services for children, women, groups, and/or families, as appropriate to the specific expectations of the position and may provide practical training and guidance to students and/or paraprofessional staff, as required.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Participates in agency planning and organizational development.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Masters Degree in Counseling or Social Work. State of New Mexico LMSW, LCSW, LISW or New Mexico Licensure as LPCC, LPS or RMHC or out of state licensure eligible for NM licensure. Licensure in New Mexico with a BA may be acceptable depending on experience. Master's level students in an accredited counseling, social work or therapist training program may be considered- will render services under direct supervision. Six to twelve months directly related experience, which may include internship and /or practicum.
