Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Director of Special Events/Torch Run Liaison is responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and evaluating all aspects of Special Olympics New Mexico's special events, including the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics, the largest fund raising vehicle for Special Olympics.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Development and execution of all aspects relating to the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR), including the annual statewide Torch Run, the LETR Kickoff, LETR committee meetings, LETR website administration, and the International Torch Run Conference.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Experience in fundraising and special events is required. A healthy appreciation of and respect for law enforcement officers a must.
Must be competent in Microsoft Suite, Publisher, Powerpoint, and Social Media Sites.
