Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Director of Development and Community Engagement is a full-time position paid between $71,000- $78,000 yearly, based in New Mexico, with a 35 hours/week flexible/hybrid work schedule. Some nontraditional work hours including evenings and weekends will be required. This position reports directly to the E.D. and will hold a leadership role. As an organization that has recently experienced tremendous growth, this is a critical new role where some responsibilities may shift and evolve over time.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

This complex position includes bolstering the strategic leadership and implementation work of both fund development and community engagement and will build and lead a small team of staff, including a Donor Engagement Manager, Community Engagement Managers and the Clergy and Congregational Organizer to ensure work plans and goals are aligned with the mission, values, and strategic direction of the organization.

Other Information/Requirements: 

• Strong organizational, relational, and management skills, including 1-2 years of experience supervising staff with diverse experience.
• 2+ years of fundraising experience, specifically leading development and/or grantmaking efforts preferably within nonprofit, philanthropic, or civic settings focused on civic engagement, community organizing, campaigns, and/or similar aims and inclusive of philanthropic/institutional giving.
o Fluency in English required
o Fluency in Spanish is desired and compensated.
