Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Development, document and execute annual fundraising plan. Securing financial support from individuals, foundations, governments and corporations. Also responsible for grant writing to include reviewing and supervision of grant proposals and applications as well as networking to locate sources of grant money and ideas for grant proposals.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Maintaining a donor base and developing and maintaining relationships with major contributors, members of the media, churches, civic groups, clubs as well as community, county, state and federal officials. Networking with other organizations in order to keep a high-profile, positive image.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Requirements include: Bachelor's Degree and 5 years' experience in development, community relations as well as experience working with multiple fundraising strategies with a strong grant writing background. Must have strong written and spoken communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of individuals at all levels in one-on-one or in group settings. Must possess strong analytical skills, work under pressure and be self-motivated. CFRE preferred.
