Development Director

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

New Mexico BioPark Society (NMBPS), the non-profit support organization for the ABQ BioPark Zoo, Aquarium, Botanic Garden, and Tingley Beach, has an opening for a full-time Development Director. This position plays a key role in the organization, responsible for overseeing fundraising programs, capital campaign direction, individual and major donor cultivation, and solicitations, with the part-time support of a Development Coordinator. NMBPS offers a competitive salary with excellent benefits.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Ideal candidates will be able to work independently and collaboratively, have strong writing and proofing skills, and have experience in Raisers’ Edge or other fundraising software.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree and 3 plus years of experience working in development, or related position. Candidates must have advanced computer skills with Microsoft Word and Excel; have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills; be detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment; and be able to work some evenings and weekends. Discretion when working with confidential information is paramount.
