Development Coordinator

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Development Coordinator works under the direction of the ARCA Foundation Development Director. Supports the Foundation with a variety of fundraising activities including event planning and preparation and communications including newsletters, press releases, research, correspondence, data entry, email blasts and phone calls.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Prioritizes effectively and handles a variety of assignments such as: development strategies, donor solicitation, corporate and foundation gifts, planned giving, managing donor database, facilitating donor acknowledgements, and maintaining donor research files. Will generate reports and attend committee meetings and Board meetings. Will maintain files for the Foundation Director.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Qualifications: This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. Experience in not-for-profits and organizations providing services to persons with developmental disabilities preferred. Must have a minimum of three years of relevant development, marketing, strategic planning and special events coordinating experience. Must have proficiency in Microsoft Word, Access and Excel applications.
