Main Areas of Responsibility: 

NIF seeks to hire a member of the management team with the ability to perform daily accounting functions as well as to develop accounting and business strategies in support of organizational goals and objectives. The Corporate Controller (CC) is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the accounting system and internal controls, analyzing financial information, and providing regular reports of the organization’s financial status to the Board of Directors.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The CC is responsible for the direct supervision of all accounting and financial functions including preparation of financial statements, creation of annual budgets, payroll and human resources functions and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulatory agencies.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business management
5-7 years accounting experience; CPA credentials a plus
3-4 years HR experience

Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and principles; nonprofit accounting a plus
Awareness of business trends; awareness of arts industry trends a plus
Understanding of financial analysis and budgeting for nonprofits a plus
Advanced Excel skills; experience with other MS Office applications
Experience with accounting software QuickBooks Online a plus

Salary Range: 
$55,000-$75,000 commensurate with experience
