Community Relations Manager

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Responsible for developing and maintaining valuable relationships with members of our community, both businesses & citizens, with the goal of saturating community awareness of our organization with a positive perception, increasing pet adoptions and maximizing revenue for Animal Humane. Responsible for the coordination of special events and projects such as adoption events, Doggie Dash and Dawdle, donor appreciation events, sponsorship cultivation and solicitation.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

1. Coordinate and take the lead role on creating and implementing business development programs including the development of plans with budgets, timelines and measurable goals.
2. Identifying appropriate organization sponsors and soliciting their financial or in-kind support to meet financial goals.
3.Plan, design and coordinate all major special events including pre-event, day of and follow-up activities. Develop budgets, plans, timelines, and committee structures for all events.

o Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
o Demonstrate leadership and diplomatic skills
o Ability to work independently and interdependently
o Self starter; strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail
o Word processing, e-mail and internet skills required
o Exceptionally strong public speaking and presentation skills required
o Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is also highly desirable
