Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The South Valley MainStreet is hiring two (2) Community Outreach Educators to engage in canvassing, education, and community organizing to educate Albuquerque residents and businesses about COVID-19 vaccines and help residents receive COVID-19 vaccinations and access to supportive resources and services.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Qualifications
• Experience working in a public-facing capacity, such as customer service, sales, brand ambassador, community outreach, community organizing, or social service
• Experience working with communities of color. Demonstrated ability to connect with diverse communities and move people to action.
• Previous canvassing experience is greatly desired, but not required. Training and coaching will be provided to all employees.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Job Responsibilities
• Effectively engage residents through door-to-door canvassing conversations to provide health literacy education, schedule eligible residents for a COVID-19 vaccination appointment and testing, and inform them on the importance of the vaccine. Depending on COVID19 conversations may take place over phone. Provide assistance in accessing information and services to other resources.
