Main Areas of Responsibility: 

We have a job opening for the position of a Center Director in the Children’s Learning Center (CLC). The CLC is a bilingual (English/Spanish) and low-cost childcare option in the South Valley of Albuquerque that hosts preschool classrooms (for children as young as newborns) as well as two NM Pre-K classrooms. We currently make culturally appropriate foods in-house and serve a majority of organic food options to all children.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

This position requires a BA degree in relevant field; min. of 2 years of direct experience in a non-profit agency including budget management, development and implementation; min. 3 years of experience in the classroom as well as a proven track record at the supervisory and management levels; min. of 2 years’ experience in government grant management; and proficient with MS Office Suite. Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean record

Other Information/Requirements: 

Outstanding communication and public speaking skills; and bilingual in English/Spanish. The director will work with other center leadership to manage at least the following: classroom environments, parent engagement, kitchen and Food Program standards and reporting, NECPA certification, NM Pre-K standards, audit preparation and responses, and ECECD communications and guideline implementation. Additionally, the director will complete internal reporting requirements with the support of the CPO.

Salary Range: 
Pay range starts at $26.30 per hour/$54,704 annually, DOE.
