Assistant Educator (School Programming)

Part-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The ideal Assistant Educator will be passionate about nature and outdoor recreation, with experience supporting classroom management and curriculum. This role involves working outdoors in all weather, assisting Lead Educators in supervising students, and ensuring safety. Duties include helping with curriculum delivery, engaging students in outdoor activities, and maintaining program quality for grades 6th–High School.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Weekly: Assist with nature-focused activities and adapt lessons to meet student needs.
Bi-weekly: Attend team meetings, submit invoice.
Per semester: Assist with community events, attend trainings as assigned.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Preferred Qualifications
● CPR/First Aid Certified (Wilderness First Aid a plus)
● Previous experience with guiding/leading youth in the community
● Knowledge of a second language, especially Spanish or ASL

20-35 hours per week in school programming.
