Agritourism Specialist

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Agritourism Specialist will further the American Indian Alaska Native Tourism Association’s (AIANTA) mission to define, introduce, grow and sustain American Indian, Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian tourism that honors traditions and values through coordination and facilitation of outreach to Native Nations and communities. Professional communication skills, the ability and desire to take initiative, and excellent relationship management experience are essential to this role.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Supports existing and develops new outreach efforts to agritourism enterprises/businesses/programs in Native Nations and Native communities to identify emerging and existing agritourism experiences to develop content for marketing experiences on AIANTA’swebsite NativeAmerica.travel

Other Information/Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, tribal planning, communications or related degree.
• 3-5 years’ experience with tribal and/or non-tribal outreach.
• 1 year of experience working within or with agriculture or tourism industry, tribal organization and/or non-profit environment.

Salary Range:
