Advancement Associate

Job Description
Type of Job: 
Full-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Support a professional advancement team and provide excellent donor relations support
Provide wide range of administrative support to Advancement Office
Database work: donor record updates, reporting, gift acknowledgement mailings, and list management
Support annual fund mailings
Logistics for donor events and annual fundraiser for 350 donors to raise scholarship funds for students
High level of professionalism and adherence to ethical and confidential standards critical for donor relations

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
3 years professional non-profit work experience in education, arts and cultural, museums or other cultural organization
Experience working in customer/donor relations management systems or databases
Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent problem solving and organizational expertise
Exceptional client or customer relations skills
Experience with e-mail marketing systems (MailChimp or Constant Contact)

This important position will help us build strong relationships with donors and philanthropic partners to raise critical funds to achieve Institute of American Indian Arts' (IAIA) mission "to empower creativity and leadership in Indigenous arts and cultures through higher education, lifelong learning, and community engagement."
