Mission/Giving Statement: Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for the American theatre, exists to strengthen, nurture and promote the professional not-for-profit American theatre. Its programs serve nearly 700 member theatres and affiliate organizations and more than 12,000 individuals nationwide. As the US Center of the International Theatre Institute, TCG connects its constituents to the global theatre community.

Grantmaking Program Area Descriptions:
A-ha! Program: Think It, Do It: Think It grants (up to $25,000) for research and development. Do It grants (up to $50,000) support the implementation and testing. (METLIFE/TCG)
Global Connections: Global Connections offers funding in two different categories: On the Road, travel grants of up to $5,000 each; In the Lab, project development grants of $10,000 each. These grants support geographically unrestricted travel to foster international collaborations between US-based artists and their colleagues around the world.
Leadership U[niversity]: This new initiative prepares recipients from all areas of the theatre for greater leadership responsibilities and long-term careers in the theatre, in two areas: One-on-One for early career leaders and Continuing Ed for mid-career or veteran professionals.
Aidoemce R(E)volution: Audience (R)Evolution is a four-stage program that offers TCG Member Theatres across the country up to $65,000 to (Re)Model or (Re)Imagine successful audience engagement and/or community development models.
