Sustainable Environments: Seeks to create just and sustainable communities where consumption and conservation are balanced and innovative solutions to environmental problems and improve people's lives. It funds three key related priority areas: Climate Change; Green Economy; and Transportation & Smart Growth.
Strong Local Economies: Helps America's communities invest in their people and their places, acknowledging both as invaluable assets that are critical to long-term economic prosperity. It funds two key related areas: Connecting People to Opportunities; and Creating Economic Opportunities.
Thriving Cultures: Seeks to strengthen both individual and institutional cultural assets, contributing to vibrant communities. It funds two related thematic areas: Weaving a Community's Fabric; and Building Capacity.
