About Us:

Mission/Giving Statement:  General Service Foundation dedicates all of our resources to bringing about a more just and sustainable world. In the next five years, we will achieve our goals by nurturing and learning from strategic partnerships, embracing risk and possibility, and aligning every aspect of our organization with our deeply held values and beliefs.

Grantmaking Program Areas:  Human Rights & Economic Justice; Reproductive Justice

Grantmaking Program Area Descriptions:

Human Rights & Economic Justice: Support efforts that protect, promote and create good jobs with living wages for workers, including low-wage workers, in the United States and Mexico so that workers on both sides of the border can live and work in dignity.

Reproductive Justice: We believe that in order to bring about change in the lives of women and girls in the United States, the reproductive health movement needs to embrace and address a comprehensive reproductive health agenda. While access to safe abortion is an integral component of a reproductive health agenda, we believe that the narrow focus on abortion has served to limit the potential of the movement. Consequently, we are interested in supporting organizations that work on a broad range of reproductive health and rights issues that includes, but is not limited to, abortion.
