CPA Community Engagement Luncheon 7-2008

Your hosts, Dana Vilardi, Director of the Center for Nonprofit Excellence and Janice Moen, Finance Director of ARCA, invite you to learn about opportunities we have to connect you with nonprofits in central New Mexico!

Please join us for lunch in the United Way of Central New Mexico Board Room to learn more about:

Ask the Expert Web Program: We need experts to answer email questions that come in through our website. We are looking for CPAs to volunteer their time by agreeing to answer questions within a 7 day period. This will be posted on the Center website, along with your profite and company name, logo and direct web link.

Board Service: Many nonprofits need CPAs on their boards, with thousands of nonprofits to choose from, we should be able to match you to your personal passion!

Occasional Consulting: You can choose to take calls occasionally, consult with a group one time, or to connect with an agency to help them complete a project. You can fill out a profile and post what your interests are, your company is always recognized as well.

Training: participate in our training series, covering such pertinent topics as the IRS 990 form, Accounting for Grants, Internal Controls and more! Share your expertise at a brown bag lunch or a full day financial training session.

United Way Community Fund Panels: Participate in the UWCNM competitive grants process by reviewing three or four agencies' financial statements and 990s and provide your insight into their financial status, helping your fellow panel members understand the financial aspects of the nonprofits receiving UWCNM Community Fund Dollars.
