- Understand basic legalities around terminating an employee
- Know when to call a legal or HR professional for help with a performance or discipline problem, or a termination
Description
No manager relishes the thought of having to discipline an employee or terminate one, if discipline isn’t working. But these conversations sometimes have to happen, and when that becomes necessary, it is important to know how to do it right.
In this training, you will learn how to have disciplinary conversations with employees, how to set up Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs), and what to do if your PIP fails. You'll also leave with an understanding of best practices to follow when terminating an employee.
