 Registration is closed for this event

Supporting young people is an investment in our communities, our organizations and the future of the nonprofit sector. They can bring new energy, enthusiasm, ideas and networks to your organization.

Learn a variety of ways of recruiting young people as volunteers or employees and learn ways to support young people that are already active in your organization.

Presenters include:

New Mexico Commission for Community Volunteerism. Learn how to apply for a VISTA and other upcoming opportunities through the Commission and/or the Corporation for National Service.

UNM’s Work Study and Student Employment Office . Learn how to apply for UNM work-study students where community nonprofits only pay 30% of student wages;

UNM Community Learning & Public Service. Learn about initiatives and projects that help to build partnerships between the university, classrooms and community needs.

CNM Service Learning . Learn about opportunities and how nonprofits can participate with and benefit from their service-learning programs;

Forum Public Allies. Learn about hosting a Public Allies apprentice at your organization; and

Emerging Nonprofit Leadership Network . Learn about a peer leadership network for young people in their twenties and thirties engaged in the nonprofit sector.
