Description of the Volunteer Opportunity:

Want to help Meals on Wheels feed the hungry and homebound of Albuquerque? Join us as a volunteer driver! Just a once-a-week driving shift helps contribute towards feeding over 1,500 citizens of Albuquerque each week! Our drivers deliver Monday - Friday each week, between the hours of 10:30 am and 1 pm. For about 85% of our clients, our drivers are the only friendly face they'll see all day, so all of our volunteers make a huge impact on the lives of the people they visit. We deliver out of four different sites in the Albuquerque and Rio Rancho areas, so you won't have to travel far to join in!

If you are interested in learning more, please attend one of our Volunteer Training sessions, which take place virtually every Thursday from 2 to 4 pm. Go here to our website to sign up for a training!

Drivers must be at least 18 years old, and have a current driver's license and valid auto insurance. Please note: we are not able to fulfill court-mandated restitution obligations.
