Walk Coordinator

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Walk Coordinator is responsible for the following:

• Driving Walk participation and team development
• Building relationships with existing and potential volunteers
• Managing volunteer efforts
• Directing logistics and project management for event(s)
• • Solicitations for needed in-kind, individual and sponsorship donations for event(s)
• Managing the data base (Kintera), handling marketing materials, mailings, e-mail blasts and correspondence

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Ideal Candidate will possess:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Previous work experience with Walks in some capacity, including fund raising, participant recruitment, and logistic planning
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Non-profit work experience desired
• Excellent computer skills and a solid working knowledge of MS Office
• Experience with Kintera (or similar on-line fundraising system) a plus

Other Information/Requirements: 

The mission of the Arthritis Foundation is to improve lives through leadership in the prevention, control and cure of arthritis and related illnesses. The Greater Southwest Chapter serves Arizona, New Mexico and El Paso, Texas with offices located in Phoenix, Tucson and Albuquerque.

Salary $30-32k/yr. plus full benefits package
