Main Areas of Responsibility:
The USDA Hunger-Free Communities grant is a 2-year project to address hunger in a community-based way and establish a self-sustaining base for further growth, which includes the creation of a Bernalillo County Food Policy Council to help community-based networks to collaborate on projects that include food distribution, community outreach, education, & resource development to make food more accessible to those in need. Priorities include Education, Access, Underutilized Services & Evaluation.

- Develop and implement community-based network plans to address food insecurity and hunger.
- Supervise Community Network Coordinators to coordinate community outreach, community activities, and involvement of community members/organizations
- Develop strategies to utilize community venues and resources to address community needs and projects.
- Coordinate development of a Bernalillo County Food Policy Council
