Main Areas of Responsibility: 

New Mexico Foundation is recruiting a Project Coordinator (Contractor) who is well-versed in early childhood development to coordinate and lead a project focused on early childhood development.
New Mexico has enacted positive policy and funding changes that will have considerable impact on young children. This project will fund a range of policy and advocacy organizations to support equitable implementation of the recent policy changes in the state.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Lead and manage funding for a set of policy and advocacy organizations in New Mexico that are committed to advancing progress for young children and their families in the state;
Review grant applications;
Liase with grantees to understand capacity-building and technical assistance needs;
Support grantees to learn from one another, align and leverage each other’s work.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Proven project management skills - from conception to design to implementation.
Contract amount and estimated hours to be determined.
Minimum seven to ten years of experience delivering results in the community.
Experience collaborating with diverse community-based organizations, community leaders, government agencies, and associated Early Childhood stakeholders in New Mexico.
Experience advancing policy and or structural changes in the public or private sectors.
