Manager of Vols

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

• Recruits, interviews, selects, assigns, trains, motivates, evaluates, counsels and recognizes volunteers for direct service, for fundraising activities and for PHS community activities.

• Supports team approach for all volunteer services staff to provide seamless interaction of job functions throughout PHS-A.

• Participates as an active member of site(s) operation team(s).

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Designs and implements site specific volunteer services, projects and activities.

• Responsible for implementation of volunteer department policies and procedures at assigned site(s).

Other Information/Requirements: 

Knowledge: Requires detailed knowledge of volunteer management issues in terms of what and how work is to be done as well as why it is done, this level includes interpretation of data.

Abilities: Mental Power: Ability to make decisions that are varied but are usually confined to situations which are familiar. There are several defined alternative solutions available.
