Interim Associate Director

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

This role is primarily responsible for the supervision of management level staff, program and budgetary oversight and leadership support. The Interim Associate Director will support the Interim Executive Director for approximately 12 months, while the current Executive Director is on sabbatical leave This is a 100% in-person, temporary part-time (20+ hours per week) position for one year. This position is located in Espanola, NM.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Supervise Program Managers and heartstorm and problem-solving with decision making, programmatic support, staffing, budgetary and organizational challenges. Manage work plans and timelines for current fiscal year. Ensure that all TWU policies and procedures are communicated and observed by staff and program managers. Supervise Campus Manager and provide accountability on Campus and digital security, building and grounds upkeep, property rental, oversight of Campus Manager

Other Information/Requirements: 

3+ years in social justice and/ community organizing, supervisory and/ or leadership role, financial and grant management, demonstrated ability to take initiative; understand when urgent action is needed, strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent computer skills and familiarity with project management and other specialist software, proven ability to lead project meetings and lead teams to maintain high-quality work, experience in nonprofit management, project management and/ or human resources.
