Gallery and Shop Manager

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Gallery & Shop Manager reports to the Executive Director and is responsible for managing HSFF’s gift shop, gallery, interpretation space, and facility rentals at El Zaguán, providing on-site engagement, recruiting, managing the online gallery and gift shop, and training volunteers to act as cashiers and interpretation guides/docents.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Manage the public portion of El Zaguán
• Participate in the curation of the gift shop
• Coordinate exhibitions
• Recruit, train, and manage volunteers
• Manage venue rentals
• Engage the public and foster relationships with members
• Prompt donations and recruit new members

Other Information/Requirements: 

• A background in retail management, specifically in museums, the arts, or a creative field
• Excellent interpersonal skills and phone etiquette
• Experience managing inventory, revising contracts, and creating invoices
• Experience using a POS system
• Experience managing an online storefront
• Experience in event planning or management
