Family Activity Coordinator

Part-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Facilitates the programming needs of the child and family component of the two generation programs; collaborates with staff, volunteers, and outside agencies and organizations as necessary to provide services to meet client’s needs; keeps appropriate documentation of activities while maintaining legal and ethical requirements regarding resident confidentiality; assists in keeping the issues of homelessness before the community.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

1. Provide overall administration and coordination of the child and family component of the two-generation program which includes coordinating and facilitating activities, scheduling presenters, managing volunteer engagement, and fostering family and community growth. Flexible schedule, although two evenings per week are required.

Other Information/Requirements: 

•Cultivate volunteer engagement by building a team of volunteers that works collaboratively to foster each family’s self-esteem, skills, and resilience through positive and supportive interactions. Provide continuous supervision, mentoring and training of volunteers to create an experience that helps them meet their philanthropic goals and ambitions through relationship with the organization and families.
•Promote a safe and secure environment where families and volunteers feel welcomed, nurtured, and safe.
