Environmental Justice Advocacy Coordinator

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Environmental Justice (EJ) Coordinator will have primary responsibility and oversight for coordinating and implementing projects and/or programming dealing with environmental justice issues (i.e., land, air, and water). The coordinator will ensure that the EJ program engages in local, national, and international dialogue and community organizing to build powerful partnerships that support a shared vision of climate and environmental justice that protects Mother Earth and Father Sky.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Lead and/or co-lead efforts to assess environmental justice nexuses and opportunities to improve justice and equity in TWU’s work in collaboration with Executive Leadership, the EJ program team, TWU staff, and subject matter experts

Other Information/Requirements: 

Proactively address EJ issues in Northern New Mexico as a subject matter expert, focusing on outreach and engagement with communities disproportionately affected by environmental and public health issues.
