Donor Engagement Manager

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Writing and coordinating the production of 6 publications, 11 direct mail pieces, as well as several grants each year. The Donor Engagement Manager also works with our Donor Relations Team to steward corporate foundation, monthly donors and mid-level donors through on-site visits and email communications.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The Donor Engagement Manager regularly works with team members across Animal Humane to identify compelling stories and ensure that we have adequately documented the pet or person's journey through audio & visual storytelling as well as written or verbal.. Works closely with other members fo the Development & marketing Team including Multimedia Specialist, PR & Media Manager and Graphic Designer.

Other Information/Requirements: 

• Strong written communication skills; ability to write clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive copy
• Strong editing skills & attention to detail
• Outstanding organizational skills & the ability to meet multiple deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• A passion for teamwork
• A willingness to participate in public speaking and outreach engagements
• Understanding of the nonprofit world desired
• Knowledge of relational database management strongly desired
